  Transfers

• Full flight details must be received 10 days prior to arrival date to guarantee transfers on time.
  
• All transfers unless specified are combined transfers. Guests may have to wait for transfers up to 2 hours or more.
  
• Maximum luggage allowance is 20 kg for Seaplane & Local Flights with 5kg allowed for hand luggage. USD 2.00 per kg is charged for excess luggage - prices are subject to change without notice).
  
• Return transfer is by Air (domestic flights) to Hanimadhoo Airport from Male' International Airport (45 minutes) and then by Speedboat (35 minutes) to the resort. Inline with international flight arrivals and departures both day and night transfers are available.
  
• Due to weather conditions, night transfer may not always be available. In which case, night arrival guests shall overnight in Male' and transfer provided the next day on the first available flight.

The Maldivian-style villas stretch out into the lagoon and are perched over water. The island got their own Sorbet Butler who circulates round both the infiniti and Amazon pools dispensing refreshing sorbet. We also have two additional private islands that can be used for intimate dinners or for jet-skiers so they do not disturb other guests. Sea life here is nothing short of astonishing and even the most experienced divers will find underwater excursions a treat.

The VDWS certified water sports school offers non-motorised water sports including windsurfing, kayaking, stand-up paddling and catamaran sailing, as well as motorised activities, including jet-skiing, wakeboarding, mono-skiing, knee-boarding and water skiing.

Qualified, friendly instructors provide essential guidance and refresher courses.

VDWS certified water sports school is open from 9.00 to 18.30.

Sadha, Ailam and Raya are busy teaching us how to prepare a feast of local delights and questions pepper the atmosphere, adding another layer of spice. Siraz, our translator, springs back and forth, spilling generational secrets, sharing culinary fables and opening our eyes to a world beyond that we have known. Later, we eat together, cross-legged. Invited into their village. Into their homes. Into their hearts.

Traditional Line Fishing with local fishermen

The dhoni. Barely creating ripples as we sail across the sapphire stillness. Mandhu examines the end of his spear, twanging the metal, caring for his tools. The line of dawn, salmon-pink, is just peeking into view. For now, the night is king. This is Poseidon’s time. Ancient legends abound in the Maldives and Mandhu has shared so many tales already. As we see him fly into the waters with his spear, the dhoni bouncing, we know that, right here, we are in the presence of greatness. As minutes accelerate dangerously close to four, and fear mounts, suddenly he appears with a fish. He sees our pale faces and laughs. A rich, roaring laugh infused with sea salt and time and wisdom.

Village Craft Experience

The knock of hammer, rhythmic. A shiver of sandpaper. The scent of wood shavings. Creativity is alive at midday in the village on the island of Molhadhoo. And in a shaded studio we kneel on sandy floors as Mohamed masterfully crafts his ornate designs in native woods – dhiggaa and hirudhu. Beautiful contours, every delicate detail imbued with local culture, tradition and lore. In turn, we each try to smooth the stubborn corners, studying a custom that has been handed down through generations. As the day lengthens, we begin to understand the movements of finger and thumb, the angles and symmetries less mysterious. Without realising, we’ve embodied the knowledge. We’re craftspeople.

Coral Regeneration Project

We each stand quietly in the azure ocean, listening, as we learn from Bea how the house reef nourishes and protects local marine life. A feeding sanctuary. A miraculous breeding ground for the myriad species of marine creatures that we can spot now, here, darting between our eight legs, water-steeped. The reef is strong yet fragile, for corals can live for thousands of years, can be destroyed in one careless moment. We gently place our sponsored coral frame into the waters, an act that will help to rebuild broken coral fragments, creating healthy colonies. We have made a difference. And we smile, for we have acted well today.

The unchartered waters of the Haa Alif atoll can be explored with the guidance of the experienced, reassuring PADI 5 star dive team. The House Reef, with its gentle current and shallow depths, is the perfect place for non-swimmers and novice divers to gain confidence in the water. For more experienced divers and underwater photographers, exquisite local dive sites teeming with marine life await discovery.

With nine languages spoken, comprehensive and multilingual diving courses are offered for all diving levels. Complimentary snorkelling gear is also available.

PADI 5 star dive centre is open from 8.30 to 18.00.
