The resort itself is beautiful and very clean. The staff is friendly and the service is excellent. My waiter, Nazim, did an outstanding job. I adore Maldives and have been going there for the last 9 years. The problem I am having is that Maldives has recently had to deal with an unprecedented number of tourists. As a result there is the inevitable need to build more to accomodate these tourists and the pollution that ensues. For example, at Holiday Island they have destroyed the reef to build a landing strip and an airport as if having seaplane and boat transfers was not enough. The landing strip will obstruct the gourgeous seaview.
The pollution of the ocean was unbearable to watch. On one of the trips back from diving, we saw a dolphin with a plastic bag caught on its dorsal fin. If Maldivians do not put a stop to development and control the pollution, no tourists will go back. Tourists too, will have to take responsibility for their garbage but I am not sure how that can be enforced.

We currently live in India, and needed a break, the Maldives is only 90 minutes away. What a fabulous decision - transfer by seaplane 40 mins from Male (pronounce Mar-lay), what a way to see the Maldives. Transfer from the seaplane to the island by a small local boat took 5 mins. Staff were all friendly and very helpful, the facilities were excellent for such a small island (there is a complimentary shuttle boat to the nearby Sun Island that runs every three hours from about 9am to 9pm - this is a larger island with more facilities.). There's an excellent dive school, from snorkelling to advanced, snorkel excursions, night fishing, all kit can be hired and is good quality. The lagoon off the island is excellent for beginner snorkellers, and goes out to the reef about 200m away, never getting more than about 1m deep! Variety of fish is great - butterfly fish, Moray eel, turtle, and on one excursion Porpoises, sailfish and a black tip reef shark. The food is of a very high standard and is very varied, and very fresh. All in all, one of the best holidays we've ever had - we're going back in March for a long weekend!!

Hi
First let me thank you for the ease of use and the really good service we recieved. All the arrangements were done expertly and the timing worked out great. The resort itself was of good standard allthough personally I would have expected more from the snorkeling. The food and service was excellent. As this was our 8th trip to the Maldives (always a different island) I will certainly make use of you guys again when going to the Maldives.
Best regards
