Filitheyo is beautiful with postcard perfect photos everytime we snap. It's hard not to enjoy the white sandy beach and clean water. Only setback was the coral which are mostly dead and not very colourful even at the dropoff edge where we snorkelled. However, the marine life is still very beautiful where we managed to see almost all the fishes featured on their "common fishes" list, except the big sharks and turtles. Facilities are good. Board games are plenty but there are missing pieces in Battleship...
Staff are very friendly and the room boy's service is impeccable. Strangely, although the place is clean, there was a cockroach in the room just when the room boy was doing housekeeping for the evening, and he caught the cockroach. That was funny.
Food was average because we've had much better quality food elsewhere. Otherwise, it's still all right. Halfboard was enough for us because we always have our fill with the buffets provided.
Hermit crabs are resident everywhere, which are a joy to watch. But be careful not to step on them especially when you want to walk around barefoot.
The water villa we stayed in was perfect. We could snorkel right from our balcony as there is a staircase leading to the water. Rays and fish are plenty here. Love waking up to the waves and flying fish.
Stars are beautiful at night. Don't forget to look up to the skies while being taken by the sea.

Filitheyo is a beautiful Island, with white sand beach and many fish around the reef. The Island is quite and romantic, especially sitting in the sunset bar, enjoying some food and music. We are also impressed with the service. Dr Satish in the clinic is very nice and generous, thank you very much! It is a great place for vacation.

Thank you again Hasan for accommodating our scheduling preferences. As for our stay on the island, we very much enjoyed the pleasentries of our stay to include: food, welcoming, accommodations, facilities etc. We chose this locale based on the recommendations of friends and will be happy to offer the same excitement to additional friends to convey our satisfaction.

Filitheyo Island is a medium size island with good facilities and food.
Many bungalows are located near a nice sandy beach while many are located near a rocky beach that is not nice. Bottled water was expensive but you could get it for free inside the gym, surprisingly.
We visited the island in early April 2006. There were not many activities on offer to suit everyone and a visit for a couple to an uninhabited island must be booked far in advance.
The reef was almost all dead to be enjoyed by snorkeling and not very nice to look at except for the fish. To say that the reef is magnificent for snorkeling is a lie.
The recent coral bleaching due to rise in water temp has badly affected the Maldives. We snorkeled on 4 resort islands in different parts of the Maldives and they all had the same dead coral. The coral is much better in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia or in Fiji.

Everything went smoothly. It was very nice, thank you. Filitheyo is an excellent resort with excellent service. The only suggestion is to extend the breakfast hours so we won't have to wake up very early to make it.

We were very impressed with Filitheyo. Firstc class food, service and a beautifully designed resort.
The only thing that could be improved would be the facilities available on the last day after you have checked out. We had 3-4 hours between being required to leave the villa and leaving. Having somewhere cool where you could change, shower - perhaps with some lockups for hand luggage - would have made things much better.
